Featuring the participating Freiburg artists

In June 2022 in the edgy ambience of a former tram depot, three Guildford artists exhibited their work in a joint exhibition with Freiburg artists. The exhibition theme “Wonderlands”was appropriate to Guildford with its Lewis Carroll connection. This was the second half of the Guildford-Freiburg artistic exchange which began in 2019 when five Freiburg artists exhibited in Guildford with Guildford artists.  

In keeping with the choice of venue – a contemporary art exhibition in the historical industrial surroundings of what is now part of a winery, Weingut Dilger - many of the artworks showed unusual juxtapositions of subject or of materials.  See below some of the four artists' works.

Maria Cristina Tangorra:	Maria Cristina was born and studied in Italy, has now been based for many years in Freiburg, where she paints, makes mixed media works, and teaches. She was the leading light of the organisation of this exhibition.
